Shedded Deer Antlers

Shedded Deer Antlers
Shedded Deer Antlers

A very good friend of mine is an avid hunter. I put this piece together as a gift for him last Christmas ('07) I used one of his deer antlers as a model and sketched a pattern for the horns. Then I cut the background in a free-hand abstract style to represent the forest floor in late fall/early winter, which is about the time the local deer shed their horns and leave them laying along the trails they use in the woods here.
