I just finished (May '08) this window for some wonderful clients in upstate NY. They just got done remodeling a beautiful Civil War Era home, and needed a transom-style window for above the kitchen door......
There weren't many (if any) stained glass studios in operation in the US at the time their house was built, so I referred back to traditional folk art of the Civil War period for this design.
If the artisans of that period had been working in stained glass, I'd like to think they may have designed this piece.
