Perseid Meteor

Named for & inspired by the recent Perseid Meteor Shower.  I only saw one 'shooting star' alas.  Normally meteor shower views are excellent here, but the weather was bad this year.  At 4:30 am on the 2nd day, the clouds lifted, but the moon was up & waxing.  I fed the mosquitos for 20 minutes, saw one meteor, decided that was enough for this year & came into the studio to start this piece.

It measures 11 by 9 inches & has Spectrum Black (on clear) Baroque glass background.  Shooting star has wire overlay detail.  Comes with hanging chain & is signed.  Great one-of-a-kind for the hard-to-buy-for-astronomy-geek on your gift-list
